BIMproducts & MPA --> Build London Live! 26.06.2008
The team of BIMProducts UK LTD (part of Cadvisual Group) have been collaborating live from London with MPA (Michel Post Architects) in Amsterdam to make a buildingSMART BIM for a site in London.
Managed by Paul Goodman Simpson, BIMProducts LTD have gathered most of Cadvisuals employees to team up with several of our software suppliers to take part in this Open BIM Competition.
In total 13 teams have joined this virtual event, totalling over 350 people joining this event! Some amazing models have been formed, please check the www.buildlondonlive.com website, especially the blog menu with all the latest news from all teams.

Cadvisual is a strong promoter of open data exchange standards in the AEC industry.
Up to the present day software publisher have been putting nooses around the customers neck, enabling to keep them in check and punish when straying to the competition.
The power software suppliers yielded over their customers went up to the extent where the customers were forced to either upgrade their systems, or run the risk of rendering the capital investments worthless, often making them repay the price of a package every year.
One of the major stumbling blocks in achieving full systems and/or process integration is this “protectionist” mode of operation. Other problems occur because all the money paid for innovation (maintenance) is actually spent on other things leaving the industry with great ideas, but no means (products) to implement them.
Cadvisual has assembled a unique group of software products and offers these as a platform or just a vertical solution, but always with the intention to integrate in new processes.
